junk foodHow many times in your life have you ever heard someone talk about going or being on some kind of diet? Oh man if I only had a nickel for every time right? Well, I can sit here and tell you to try all these fad diets and I promise that you will get short term results. And you will get them fast too. Why may you ask? Well, your body is very good at adapting to change. Think of summer time. When you get out in the sun what happens to your skin? It gets darker right? The more you are out there in the light and the longer the more that your skin will adapt to the sunlight. Well, eating is very similar. If all you eat is junk food 24/7 and then starts eating whole foods your body will adjust and adopt to that too.

Whenever someone ask how to eat healthy or what is healthy eating I first like to know what is there goal that they are wanting. Now like many people out there all I wanted was to have the six pack abs and biceps. But now I’m all about the bass no tremble. Just kidding. I more about being healthy overall. Whenever you do a long term fad diet your body will suffer. And suffering is never a good thing right? Doesn’t sound good to me. Because the person whole is 6 percent body fat may not be as healthy as the guy who is 25 percent fat going to eat some DQ.

Now I’m not saying that you have to be a little chubby to be healthy or ripped up like a Greek god either. Lets really think about this. Does a professional bodybuilder look like a really healthy person to you? Um well, not to me he doesn’t. That being said does someone who weighs 300 pounds and eats Little Debbie cakes nonstop look healthy either? No! There needs to be a balance between the two obviously. Working out all the time and eating just lean meats and veggies isn’t the healthy way to live. Even though mainstream media tells you that is how it should be. I do think that eating all that is good but not all the time. Your body needs a little bit of junk food from time to time. Why do you think there are so many diets out there that have a “refeed” day?

Just a little food for thought. So eat junk? Don’t eat junk? Eat only whole foods? Well, I once heard a very wise man say everyone out there that eats only kale needs a little junk food in their life. And all the junk food junkies need a little a kale in their lives too.

How My Gout Attack Led Me To Avail Funeral Insurance

As I read back on my choice of title for this article, I am enlightened that it has, by far, the scariest title, among all my blog post.

What can I say? A scared soul holds nothing in and lets everything out.

So, I was in my usual “in-the-zone” moment, staring into walls and suddenly typing whatever pops into my brain. This is how I start off on writing a new story for a book. I just let it flow and just space out from my reality, and enter another world, purely made up of my imagination.

Suddenly, felt pain in my knuckles. I have been feeling that sensation for quite some time already, and I thought it was just fatigue. However, that particular moment, the pain just seared through and it was unbearable for a moment.

Then for the next hour, the pain would come and go like an indecisive woman. I just could not handle it anymore that I went to see a a doctor.

Turns out, I had gout. Yes, Gout.

I did my little research and here are a few things I found out:

Gout comes from the Latin and old French words gutta and gote respectively, both meaning “drop”. This etymology does not run far from what gout is. Gout is the “dropping” of uric acid deposits into the joints of the body as they circulate through the blood. When these deposits accumulate into a significant amount and forms needle-like structures called urates, gout attacks start and the pain begins.

Most of the time, the first attack of gout happens in the joint of the big toe. However, these attacks can occur in all other jointed areas of the body, including the ankles, the knees, the elbows, the fingers, the heels, the wrist and even the pelvic area for severe cases.

As I dig deeper, finding out causes of gout and how I could prevent it in the future, I came across a study on its mortality rate, and I just got scared.

I know there are a lot of things that can cause death, but for some reason, my kind of gout, as diagnosed by my doctor, just seemed too scary for other regular gouts. Add the fact that it rarely occurs on women, yet it occurred to me.

In that spur of the moment, scared for my life, I ended up from browsing gout to browsing on insurances, so that I can have options to compare health insurance policies with.

I checked out some websites, searching for the health insurance that does not spell “scam” across their terms and fine prints. I finally got into Aussie Insurance Critic, where their name and reputation as insurance critics, has made them all the more favorable candidate for claiming insurances.

I called them, I inquired, and ended up availing all kinds of insurances for very reasonable rates, including funeral insurance.

You all might think it’s funny how things escalated rather quickly, but I know I won’t be laughing in the long run when all of it pays off for me.

I’d rather be safe than sorry, so I recommend you do the same. Especially if you have been having gout, or any other form of illness for that matter. Because I tell you, starting your preparations now for a shakedown with future illnesses is a great advantage.

Young Workers Need Healthy BodiesYoung equals healthy? Not all the time.

Most young adults think that just because they are younger, it automatically implies that they are healthier and much more physically able to accomplish tasks and assignments with ease and grace. For some cases, this might be true. But if you are one of those young individuals that take their bodies for granted thinking that they are still too young to experience any medical troubles, then you have to reassess these thoughts and think in a smarter sense this time.

This line of thinking should especially be eradicated from those young adults that are working. They think they can beat the older people with the same job as theirs because they are faster and healthier. this notion is very wrong because older people tend to value their health more seriously, and therefore, they could end up having healthier bodies than the younger ones because older people give time and effort to ensure that their bodies are in top condition and are far from the grasp of diseases and illnesses that could jeopardize their work.

While the body may be stronger because it’s younger, it does not mean that a younger body is not susceptible to diseases. This is especially true if your young body is heavier and bigger than it should be. Being fatter than most of the kids your age, increases the chance of harboring illnesses. It would also mean a lower self-esteem and level of confidence, which are again factors when it comes to work performance.

For this reason, even young adults should start taking their diet seriously, especially if they are of the age that has already begun to work. Working means using up your body for different tasks, and when you are ill, your body tends to stop functioning well. When you are working yet you are always absent because you are sick, chances are, you might lose your job.

To prevent this, it is time that you reassess your lifestyle and throw in precautionary measures towards your health. The best way to go, without having to ruin your adulthood, is to take maintain a healthy lifestyle through a healthy diet. Also, you can support your diet with a dietary supplement, like a vitamins and slimming drinks. You just have to make sure that whatever form of dietary supplement you take will be effective and helpful for you and does not give you any side effects.

Staying fit is a very important part of life. You should not be complacent about your health just because you are younger. When you think this way, your boss might see you as someone who does not take precaution and initiative and it will be bad for your review. When you take care of your physique, your children will develop that attitude as well and they will also practice being healthy, fit, clean and presentable, all the time.
  • You do not want to be a sickly mother because it will ultimately lead to sickly children because the diseases you could get because of a weak immune system will highly reflect in your children. At times, you might be the cause of their sickness because you become the source of the virus. As a mother, you are to keep an eye for the safety of your children, and not jeopardize it by having the disease yourself
  • Being healthy despite the difficult task of motherhood will enable you to feel confident about yourself and your capability as a mother. This confidence will shine and your children will see that you are happy, hence they will be happy.

Understanding the importance of having a good body is one thing, and to achieve it is another. There are a lot of moms out there that use different means to stay fit and sexy. while some resort to slimming products, others go the natural way and just eat healthy foods. No matter how you achieve and maintain a healthy body, the important thing is that you do it and use your family as your inspiration.
